Estimates of genetic gains in the carrot using different selection indices

The carrot is one of the most important and preferred vegetables in Brazil due to its versatility nutritional significance, especially as a source vitamins. selection genotypes should consider several agronomically characteristics allow more suitable balanced gains. aim present study was estimate genetic gains using different indices. Thirty-six were evaluated two experiments, first conducted between 16 November 2017 1 March 2018, second 5 18 June 2018 in, Brasilia. In both trials. experimental design randomised blocks with three replications. plots sown directly onto seedbed, which had total working area 1.8 m2. incidence leaf blight 78 98 days after sowing, at intervals seven days, giving four evaluations. harvest carried out 105 when yield components measured.
